I am a 2014 Graduate from Troy University with a BA in Collaborative Education K-6. While in college I interned at Pike County Elementary and truly enjoyed the experience.

When I graduated from Troy, I started my career with the Houston County School System in 2014 at their wonderful school in Ashford Alabama as a K-2 special education teacher for Ashford Elementary. I finished my first year of teaching with thier school system and was welcomed back for a second year. At the end of that year, I felt I needed a challenge. I wanted to experience a different atmosphere and a different school setting so that I could better provide for my students, as well as myself. I left Ashford to bring myself to Geneva County Schools. I came here in hopes that I can further my endeavors as a special education teacher, and learn from each of my students so that I may become an even better teacher. I finished my second year of teaching and thuroughly enjoyed teaching here. I look forward to the 2017 school year and feel honored to be teaching these wonderful students here at GCES! Go Bulldogs!

I am a Kinston native, born and raised. I live there with my children, Emily 18 and Jacob 23. I love sports and going to the beach. I love my family and spend the majority of my time with them, when not teaching. I also like to do arts and crafts, and I love to paint. I have just recently had the opportunity to get another fur baby and she is a Harlequin Great Dane. I absolutely love animals!!
