I am a 2004 graduate of Slocomb High School. I received my Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Wallace Community College in 2008. I then obtained my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education in 2011 from Troy University.

I completed my college internship at Rehobeth Elementary in Kindergarten and the Fourth Grade. For the 2014-2015 school year, I was a Title 1 Teacher at Rehobeth. I worked with students in the Fourth and Fifth grade. I have also been a Paraprofessional for Lyman Hall Elementary in Hinesville, Georgia. I have also worked as a private tutor for students all over the Wiregrass area.

2015-2016- 3rd Grade- GCES- Reading Teacher

This will be my second year at Geneva County Elementary! I am very excited to begin another year teaching 3rd grade Reading and Social Studies. I can't wait to see how much my students will grow this year! It is going to be a FANTASTIC year!

My name is Kendell Coker. I am proud to say that I grew up in Geneva County. I am a 13 year graduate of Slocomb High School. I graduated in 2004.  I am married to my husband Jesse, and we are expecting our first baby girl in December!

Teaching is my passion and I know that I have been called to teach the precious children of Hartford. I am passionate about seeing each one of my students succeed! I believe that each child can learn given the right environment and opportunity. It is my goal to make the classroom safe and inviting for students to share and learn. Some students might think of me as Ms. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus because I want my students to experience as much hands-on-activities as possible to make real world connections. If I can bring what we’re learning about to the classroom, I absolutely will. I hope when students leave my classroom, not only will they have grown academically but they will have also grown into a better student, friend, and citizen.

When I’m not at school you can usually find me kayaking on the beautiful Natural Springs of Florida. On Saturdays during football season you can hear me yelling, "Roll Tide Roll!” I know that this will be an amazing year! I can't wait to see what is in store for my third graders this year! Your questions and concerns are important to me so feel free to email me anytime at .
